Mountain Flight

For those who are restricted by time or other considerations from going trekking, there are mountain flights that offer a panoramic encounter with the highest peaks on earth. The plane departs from Kathmandu and flies alongside the Himalaya to give you eye-level view of the snow peaks and then bring you back in one hour. You will see Shisa Pangma (8013), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Choba Bhamre (5933m), Gauri Shankar (7134m ), Melungtse (7023m), Numbur 6956m, Karyolung 6511m, Cho Oyu ( 8201m), Gyachungkang ( 7952m), Punor ( 7161m), Nuptse ( 7855m) and the Everest ( 8848m).

The mountain flights are operated by various domestic airlines of Nepal with their Beech crafts, Dorniers, Avro, SAAB and ATR-42. There are several flights in the morning from 06.30 am till late morning, depending on weather conditions. The airport is half an hour drive from city center.

Fare: USD 111 per person.
