Mountain Bikers or those who want to do something
and action and fun-filled activities will find Nepal's
terrain very attractive for bike ride. We maintain
a western standard quality bikes and have professional
biker guides to lead you in the trails. Longer trips
are recommended to be supported by vehicle . The guide
is equipped with spare parts and maintenance tools.
Bhaktapur-Banepa ( 2 days)
Banepa( 26 km) Kathmandu, is a historical town on the way to Tibet, is terrific
for mountain biking. If you want to avoid the traffic, there is an old route
from Bhaktapur to Banepa that goes via Tathal and Nala. The ride is a gradual
climb and offers excellent opportunities to see the terraced farmlands, farm
houses and country life. From Banepa, you can take a side trip to Panauti
( 7km) or Dhulikhel ( 6km). An interesting circuit is from Banepa to Dhulikhel
to Namura ( 7 km) to Panauti ( 8 km) to Banepa. Drive back to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu-Kodari ( 4 days)
The 114 -km highway linking Kathmandu with Kodari on the Chinese border follows
the ancient trade route to Lhasa. Known as Araniko Highway, this spectacular
road leads east past Bhaktapur, Banepa, Dhulikhel and Dolalghat and then
turns north following the course of the Sun Koshi and Bhotekoshi rivers.
Picturesque villages and tranquil terraced fields against a backdrop of green
hills are the scenic rewards on the trail. The trip takes 4 days up and down.
Overnight in Dhulikhel and Tatopani ( 3 km before Kodari) where you can enjoy
the natural hot water springs.
Kathmandua-Daman ( 1 day and one way return
by car)
The 75 km stretch up to Daman on the Tribhuwan Highway has the reputation of
the best bike ride in Nepal. The best aspect of this route is that there is
very few traffic in this road. The road spirals up and down endless hills and
passes through broad valleys and small villages. The bike ride lasts all day.
In Daman, tourist standard accommodation available. One night stay in Daman
is recommended that will reward you with the splendid views of Himalayas and
sunrise in the next day morning
Balaju-Kakani ( 1 day)
The route to Kakani( altitude 1,982m) branches off at Balaju Bypass ( 3 km
to the northwest of Kathmandu Central). It is a slow and easy ascent to this
hill resort, 23km northwest of Kathmandu. The trip offers a magnificent view
of Ganesh Himal along with the fresh and serene atmosphere of the hills.
There are a number of restaurants on the way and some accommodation also
available in Kakani if you wish to stay overnight.
Nagarkot ( 2 Days)
After an early breakfast, we set out to Bhaktapur-
one of the medieval principalities of Kathmandu Valley.
We will spend a couple of hours through the Durbar
square, temples and streets of Bhaktapur to explore
its hidden secrets. From here, we head northeast to
Nagarkot on an excellent, but quiet, tarmac road. We
take 20 kilometer gradual climb though the terraced
fields, village dwellings and finally reach to the
top of Nagarkot which offers magnificent view of Himalayas.
We stay one night here in this superb viewpoint. The
next day, after enjoying the glorious sun rise view,
the day begins with an exciting descent by single track
trail. We pass through several rustic villages with
a continuing backdrop of Himalayan views, on our way
down the ridge. The trail brings us to Changu Narayan
Temple, which dates back to 3-4 Th century We continue
downhill along the winding tarmac road to Bhaktapur.
After having lunch in Bhaktapur Durbar Square, we ride
back to Kathmandu through the ancient Newari village
called Thimi.
Namobuddha (3 days)
The trip begins with a ride to the medieval Newari Town- Bhaktapur, which has
well maintained its originality. After spending a couple of hours on exploring
the historic temples, monastic complex arts and architectures, we continue
onwards to Dhulikhel, along Kodari highway the only road that links Nepal
with Tibet. ( 28km, altitude gain 500m).We stay overnight in lidge in this
panoramic place. The second day we cover 27 km with an altitude gain of 300m
to Namobuddha along a dirt tarmac road, climbing and descending. According
to legend, Namobuddha was the place where the Buddha, in a previous incarnation,
gave his flesh to a hungry tigress as an offering. Leaving this hilltop,
we plunge into the lush fields below, continuing on to the ancient village
of Panauti, where the Buddha lived as a prince prior to his offering to the
tigress.We follow a picturesque river on a mix of tarmac and dirt roads back
to Dhulikhel. The third day, we ride 20 km througth the villages Banepa-
Nala - Bhaktapur and finally to Kathmandu with an altitude loss of 200m |

Cultural Heritage Tour
One day Kathmandu Valley has seven world heritage
sites recognized by UNESCO. Your trip begins with a ride
to Patan, one of the three medieval principalities of
Kathmandu. There you will visit the palaces, temples and
monasteries. From Patan you bike along the Ring road and
head east along the Kodari Highway to Bhaktapur, another
Malla kingdom of medieval Nepal. You will be amazed to
see the intricate wood works in the windows, balconies
of temples, houses and monastic complexes. From Bhaktapur,
you will ride back to the Ring road and visit the temple
of Pashupatinath. Near this temple lies the biggest Buddhist
stupa in the world: the Bodhnath Stupa. Then, you will
visit Swayambhunath Stupa located on a hillock, which
offers a good view of Kathmandu. Then you will bike to
Kathmandu Durbar Square to end the trip.
Off-road Tour: One day
We ride to Swayambhunath Stupa from where you will head
to the north, off the road to the queen’s forest
(Rani Ban). This is a single track and offers the opportunity
to enjoy the rice fields, country life and tranquil
environment far away from the hooting noise of the city.
You will ride about 30 kilometers for 4-5 hours. |

Itinerary Day
01: Kathmandu to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur
(Distance: 39 km, altitude gain: 700m)

Valley. We will spend a couple of hours through Durbar
