Day 3 Ghalekharka-Nyaulikharka
Today's walk begins with continuous climb through beautiful rhododendron forests. The top of the hill (2600m) at Jhakarphulan is reached after about three hours. Depending on water availability lunch may be taken near to this point. The rest of the day is slightly less strenuous and continues through dense rhododendron forest. A clearing is found after approximately 2 hours and a camp is made at Nyaulikharka.

In the village traditional weaving and knitting can be seen. Tradition dance groups can be organized (the Ama Samuha or mother's group) will be more than willing to lay on folk dances to honor their guests as per the local tradition.

Cross a long suspension bridge to the south bank of the Modi Khola and then a steep climb up for 460m. The trail winds around the ridgeline to the west then up on to the crest of the ridge at Lipyani, a busy little bhanjyang (crossing point) village.
