18 peaks of Nepal have been designated as "Trekking Peaks" and Nepal Mountaineering Association issues permission for climbing expedition with simple formalities. Some of these peaks are easy "walk ups" where as others are technical and sometime can be dangerous. A team of guides, Sherpas, porters, kitchen crews with all kitchen and camping gears are necessary to undertake such expeditions.

Permission and Climbing Rules

(i) Any individual or mountaineering team desirous of climbing the peak must receive permission from Nepal Mountaineering Association.

(ii) Permission to climb the peaks will be granted for a period of one month only.

(iii) Permission may be extended, if necessary, for another period of two weeks.

(iv) The period of permission granted relates to time spent for climbing above the base camp. The trek to and from the base camp is not included.

(v) Application for climbing permit may be made at any time by the concerned Mountaineering team. Permit will be granted on a first come first serve basis.

(vi) Each climbing party will be given a permit . The right to give permission to another party for climbing the same peak during the same period is reserved by Nepal Mountaineering Association.

(vii) Nepal Mountaineering Association will recommend to Immigration Office of His Majesty's Government for obtaining trekking permit of the area to the team Members.

1-4 Persons 350.00 Only
5-8 Persons 350.00 Plus 40.00 (Per Person)
9-12 Persons 510.00 Plus 25.00 (Per Person)

The permit is valid for the period of one month only. The maximum number of person in a group will be 12 pax.

* * For extending the permission, an additional 25% charge of the total amount of the initial fee will be made for each extra week.

* * The leader or climbing member of the team must collect the permit in person from Nepal Mountaineering Association.

Refund :- In the event of cancellation of the permission by NMA or the failure of the expedition to materialize due to some others reason, the fees already paid will not be refunded.

Every individual or party granted a climbing permit should be accompanied by a Sirdar/Guide, who must be registered with NMA.

Annapurna Region
Singu Chuli ( Fluted Peak), 6501, steep ice slopes
Hiunchuli (6441m), snow, ice and rock, technical climb.
Mardi Himal (5587m): Five day slug up the Mardi Khola to approach the peak, an outlier of Machapuchre.
Tent Peak (5500m): Now called Tharpu Chuli, climb involves glaciers and crevasses.

Langtang Region
Ganja La (Naya Kangri, 5846m), involves rock and snow climb

Manang Region
Pisang Peak (6091m), steep snow at the top.
Chulu East (6584m), a long approach from Manag, needs two high camps
Chulu West (6419m): Route circles Gusang Peak to climb Chulu West from the north, requires at least 2 high camps.

Rolwaling Region
Pharchamo (6187m), steep snow climb on a route, possible avalanches.
Ramdung (5925m): Requires a long approach through Rolwaling valley.

Personal Climbing Equipment

We provide all camping and kitchen gears that is necessary for an organized expedition. But participants of climbing expedition, apart from regular trekking gears have to be equipped with following climbing gears. Although, there is buying or renting possibilities of these gears in Kathmandu or Pokhara, it is always recommended that you bring them of your best fit from your home. Some climbers have been reported to abandon the trip because the harness is too small or crampons do not fit or are too big for the boots or so on.
