Stok Khangri (6150m) is the one of the known
peaks of Stok Khangri Massif in the Zanskar Mountains
for climbing. This is absolutely a non-technical climb.
On favorable conditions, you can make the summit and return
in one day from the base camp and have the pride of conquering
a peak more than 6000m. Being near from Leh, this peak
has been very popular amongst those trekkers who want
to try something real high. It offers the most spectacular
perspective to the central expanse of the Indus Valley,
which it dominates. |
