Churen Himal Trek

Day 01. Kathmandu-Pokhara-Beni
After breakfast, fly (25minutes)or drive(6hrs) to pokhara.From pokhara drive further 4 hours to Beni and trek  1 hours and 30 mintues to the riverside camp.

Day 02. Riverside Camp-Darbang
Riverside camp to Darbang 6 hours.Camp near by Darbang school.

Day 03. Darbang to Sibang.
Today you will have walk of 5 1/2 hours. Cross Magdi river by hanging bridge and trek to Dharapani which is a large village of Magar ethnic community .You have a splendid view  of Dhaulagiri and Gurja Himal. After a picnic kind of lunch near by the village, we start hiking to a small hill. You will descend to Sibang village for camping.

Day04. Sibang to Marani
Today you will walk around 6 hours. The trail goes through numerous villages offering you opportunity to meet a lot of local people and get to know their life style and culture. Camp at Marani.

Day05. Marani to Gurja Ghat.
A 3 hours ascent brings you to the top of the ridge. You will be walking through pines and rhododendron forests. At Jaljala Bhanjyang , you will have great views of  Annapurna,Dhaulagiri,Manapathi,Gurja Himal,Churen Himal and Hiuhuli. You will descend to Gurjaghat in 2 and 1/2 hrs.

Day 06. Gurja Ghat to Rupachaur Kharka.
The train is narrow and involves often crossing of rivers. After picnic lunch , one hour easy walk brings you to Rupachaur Kharka. Its in total 5 hours walk.

Day 07. Rupachar Kharka to Gurja Gaun.
Its an hour uphill to Rupa La which promises great views of Churen Himal, Puta Hiuchuli, Gurja Himal and Dhaulagiri and more. The trail from the top is steep down and crosses several wooden bridges. Walk steep up to Gurja Gaon and set camps in 20 minutes distance. There is chance that you can enjoy the local folk dance offered by local " Mothers Group" and small charity donation has to be made to.

Day 08. Gurja Gaun to Lamsung
Today you will have trek of 7 hours. From Gurja Gaun trail goes steep down and crosses a bridge after which three hours climb ( 1000m) you reach the top of the ridge and again descend 1400m to Lamsung.

Day 09. Lamsung to Khibang
Today you will have 6 hours walk.From Lamsung to Khibang, the trail goes up for 15 minutes and joins the trail of Dhaulagir Trek. The trail deviates to Magdi River just before a large village called Muri. After having lunch by the river, you will cross the river and climb one-hour upto Khibang village. Camp beside the village.

Day 10. Khibang to Mailkwang 6.30 hours.
Take the narrow trail to reach the top of the hill from where the trail divides to three. Take the very left that continues to a small hill, across the top of which welcomes a small village. Picnic lunch will be served here and then the trail goes steep down and crosses a river before the trail ascends. Camp will be set up near by a school.

Day 11. Maiikwang to Pakhapani 7 hours.
It is continuous uphill of 3 hours to Deurali which is a big forest inhabited by wild animals. After about 20 minutes down from Deurali, picnic lunch will be served and further 3 hours walk bring s you to Pakhapani.

Day 12. Pakhapani to Beni (5.30 hours.)
The last of the trekking also permits the view of Mt.Dhaulagiri and other majestic views. Camp in Beni Bazaar as on starting day.

Day 13. Beni -Pokhara-Kathmandu by bus or airoplane
