History

Nepal has a long embedded history of many ruling system with different rulers and dynasties aimed to mould the modern Nepal in different eras. According to historical evidences Kirantis first ruled this land from 9th century B.C. to 1st century A.D.

Later Licchavis overcome Kirantis and ruled from 1st to 13th century. The ruling period of Licchavis is taken as a golden period as so many social reformation, cultural developments were taken place at that period. Licchavis were followed by Thakuris belonging to Malla dynasty. Shah Dynasty later way out Mallas and held the reign.

The altitude of Nepal varies according to the geographical locations. Nepal bears the low height of 59m from the sea level which falls on Musaharnia of Dhanusa district and it extends up to the top of worlds’ highest peak point Mt. Everest, 8848m.

Religion and Culture

Similar to the neighboring nation India Hinduism is the dominant religion of Nepal. More than 80 percent people have the strong faith on this religion.  This religion has the belief of Polytheism with a basic trinity of three gods- Brahma; the creator, Vishnu; the preserver and Shiva; the destroyer. Buddhism is the second dominant religion of Nepal.  This place of Lord Buddha is disseminating the echo of peace throughout the world along with this religion. Beside these two dominant religions minority of Nepalese adhere to Jain, Islam and Christianity. Religious tolerance is the unique feature of Nepali religion since time immemorial. Nepal after the people’s movement of 2006 has turned into secular from the Hindu nation. This move has further harmonizing the bond of different religions.

Climate and Favorable time of visit

Different seasons determine the climatic condition of Nepal. Autumn and spring are often taken as the best seasons for trips to Nepal. Autumn begins from early September and lasts up to the early December. It heralds the clear weather, sunny days and warm nights.  Likewise spring commences from the early March and remains up to the end of May. The rainfall occasionally takes place during this period. Monsoon, another season rules from June to September. Hot weather and the torrential downpour almost every day during this season make the trekking acts almost complex and bitter.
