After an early breakfast, we set out to Bhaktapur- one of the medieval principalities of Kathmandu Valley. We will spend a couple of hours through the Durbar square, temples and streets of Bhaktapur to explore its hidden secrets. From here, we head northeast to Nagarkot on an excellent, but quiet, tarmac road. We take 20 kilometer gradual climb though the terraced fields, village dwellings and finally reach to the top of Nagarkot which offers magnificent view of Himalayas. We stay one night here in this superb viewpoint. The next day, after enjoying the glorious sun rise view, the day begins with an exciting descent by single track trail. We pass through several rustic villages with a continuing backdrop of Himalayan views, on our way down the ridge. The trail brings us to Changu Narayan Temple, which dates back to 3-4 Th century We continue downhill along the winding tarmac road to Bhaktapur. After having lunch in Bhaktapur Durbar Square, we ride back to Kathmandu through the ancient Newari village called Thimi.
